— Jos. H. Goering, well known farmer of the Moundridge community and father of Rev. S. J. Goering of Bethel College, died Friday morning at the Bethel Hospital after an illness of nine weeks. He reached the age of 81 years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at he Eden church northwest of Moundridge, where nearly a thousand persons gathered to join the sorrowing children on the way to their father's last resting place. The services were conducted by Rev. Walter Gering, local pastor, and Rev. J. C. Kaufman of Whitewater. Children surviving are Jac. K., Adolf, John and Joe and Mrs. P. P. O Graber, all of Moundridge; and Rev. S. J. Goering of North Newton. The Review expresses heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
