Katherine Gehring.

After a siege of sickness at the home of her son Ewalt Schrag at Monroe, Wash., at the age of 70 years and 10 months, the deceased who had endured herself to every one who knew her, has gone to her reward.

Mother Gehring was born in Russia March 7, 1861, came to America in her fourteenth year, living near Marion, S. Dakota, until 1900 when the family made their home in Adams Co., Wash. She was married to Johannes Schrag, with whom she lived and shared in Monroe with her now bereaved husband at 50 years.
