— Albert Schmidt of Cordell, a cousin to Pete Schmidt killed by lightning last week Wednesday, received a fractured knee while unloading a barrel of motor oil from a truck Monday. The barrel slipped and fell on Schmidt inflicting the damage.
— J. B. Wiebe of Perryton, Texas, arrived here last week Friday to attend the Schmidt funeral, he brought Jacob Schmidt and daughters, father and sister to the deceased, who also live at Perryton, and also took them back home. Mr. Wiebe states that they just commenced harvesting their wheat some of which has yielded as much as 42 bushels to the acre, and general prospects are exceedingly good.
