Jacob J. Schmidt, 61 years old, passed away at his home in West Branch township, Marion county, one and one-half miles north of the Harvey county line, Wednesday afternoon, march 30, of pneumonia, following an illness of about ten days.
Mr. Schmidt was one of the prominent citizens of the community, having resided there during the past 36 years. He leaves his widow and seven children.
Funeral services were conducted at the Tabor church Saturday afternoon at 2.00 o'clock, by Rev. P. R. Richert, assisted by Rev. Peter Buller, and interment was made in the Tabor ccemetery. — Kansan.
