RESIDENT WHO PASSED AWAY AT HILLSBORO, KANS. TAKEN TO FREEMAN, S. D., FOR BURIAL

Hillsboro, Kansas. — Funeral services for A. D. Schmidt were held Sunday afternoon, April21, from the home and at the First Mennonite church. The services at the home were conducted by Rev. J. M. Regier who reminisced on the times Mr. Schmidt and he had spent together as co-workers in the church and as neighbors at Freeman, South Dakota.

A male quartet composed of Pete Knaak, Frank A. Funk, Meredith Rogers and Ernest Hiebert sang "Sweetly Resting in the Lord."

The church services were conducted by the Missionary Penner and Rev. J. H. Epp. The music for this service was given by Dr. A. K. Ratzlaff who sang "Seliger Friede.' The male quartet sang e "Rock of Ages."

The family escorted the deceased to Freeman, South Dakota, for a final service in the North Church and interment in the church cemetery. — Hillsboro Star.
