Am 16. Nov. 1883 starb das einzige Töchterlein der Familie Johann Rupp aus Galizien (jetzt wohnhaft in McPherson Co, Kan.) im Alter von etwas über zwei Jahren. Bei der Beerdigung auf dem Hoffnungsfelder Gottesacker hielt David Unruh von Sparta die Leichenrede.
