Aaron J. Reimer

Aaron J. Reimer was born April 8, 1884, in McPherson county, Kansas, and departed this life September 12, 1939. he was the son of John W. and Aganeta (Boese) Reimer. Upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior he was baptized by Elder Peter Reimer on May 22, 1904, and accepted into the Alexanderwohl Mennonite church at Goessel, Kansas.

His wife and children were at his bedside until the end came.

His father passed away when he was a boy of only 13 years and since he was the oldest of the boys it fell to his lot to help his mother to support the family. Since he was on his own he lived in different places but the last 9 years he and his family lived about 17 miles west of Perryton, Texas.

He changed his membership from Kansas to the Bethel Menn. church west of Perryton, of which church he remained a faithful member until his end. The cause of his death was a tractor accident, after which other complications set in. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, five children, 2 sons-in-law; five grandchildrden, two brothers and four sisters: Henry J., William J.; and sister Anna, Mrs. Peter Quiring of Canton, Kansas; Agnes, Mrs. Peter Frey, Newton, Kansas; Marie, Mrs. Peter Dyck, Buhler, Kansas; Marie, Mrs. Peter Dyck, Buhler, Kansas; Katharine, Mrs. John Frantz, Orienta, Oklahoma; two Uncles, Abraham and Henry Boese; also his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mrs. and Mr. Henry Foote, Corn, Oklahoma; and a host of friends. — Send in by F.
