— Mrs. J. K. Penner of Beatrice, Nebr., died last Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. R. Toews, at 613 Southeast Second street. Mrs. Penner had been ill since coming here for a visit with her daughters, Mrs. Toews and Mrs. P. d. Claassen, last October. She had been one of the old settlers in the Nebraska community, having reached the advanced age of 80 years. Funeral services were held here on Friday forenoon, after which the remains were sent to Beatrice where another funeral service was held and interment made.
