Life Sketch of Mrs. Peter Penner.

It has pleased our heavenly Father to call home the soul of our departed sister, Mrs. Peter Penner. The departed Mrs. Penner was born April 14, 1877, at Koeppenthal, East Russia. At the age of 15 years she was baptized on confession of her faith and became a member of the Mennonite Church to which she remained a faithful and loyal adherent to her very end. In 1893 she came with her parents to America, making her home at Newton, Kansas.

In 1897 our deceased sister was married to Peter Penner. God blessed this happy union with 8 children who are mourning her departure. Since 1920 Mrs. Penner with her family have been residents of the Waco Calif., community. Mrs. Penner had been suffering from high blood pressure for the last few years. The last day of June she was taken to Paso Robles and then to the hospital of Atasenders. A stroke at that time added to her suffering. A few weeks ago she was removed to a sanitarium at Glendale, where death came unexpectedly on last Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6:40 A. M., freeing her of all earthly pain and sorrow. Mrs. Penner was known for her beautiful Christian character and cheerful disposition visiting the sick and bringing love and sunshine into the hearts and homes of many.

Our departed sister was ready and prepared to answer her Master's call. She died at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 6 days, leaving behind her, her deeply sorrowing husband and family and a great host of relatives and friends.

May her memory live forever and prove a blessing to all. — Contributed.
