John D. Krehbiel

John D. Krehbiel was born Nov. 28th, 1864, in Haroditsch, Russia, where he spent his childhood. He came with his parents, in the year 1874, to South Dakota, where he was baptized on April the 2nd 1882 by Christ Kaufman. He was married to Carolina Krehbiel April 12th, 1894. This union which lasted 36 years was blessed with 10 children, 8 sons and 2 daughters. Of these 2 sons and one daughter preceded him in death.

Mr. Krehbiel's death was caused by cancer of the stomach. He passed away at 7:30 Friday night, Sept. 26, 1930. He endured many hardships during his life, which he took patiently. Even during his last days one would never hear him complain, instead, he turned to his Shepherd joyfully.

He leaves to mourn over him, his wife, seven children, seven grandchildren, four brothers, one sister, his mother-in-law and many friends. He reached the age of 65 years, 9 months and 28 days.
