text of obituary:

David T. Koehn

David T. Koehn son of Tobias and Elizabeth (Ratzlaff) Koehn, was born in McPherson Co., Kansas, November 6, 1886, where he grew to manhood. Here he also was baptized upon confession of faith on Jesus Christ as his Saviour and accepted into the Canton, now Emmanuel, Mennonite church.

In 1913 his parents moved to Taloga, Oklahoma, and he with them. Here he made his home and affiliated with the Kidron Mennonite church of which he remained a member until his end.

May 10, 1922, he was united in marriage with Elinda Koehn. To this union two children were born, Leona Ruth and LeRoy James.

In 1940 he and his family moved to the state of Washington to make their home there.

He enjoyed fair health and worked every day until August 6, 11:30 a.m., when he suddenly became very sick. He started for the house but walked only a short distance till he was forced to sit down. His brother Jake then went home, got the car and took him to the house. A doctor was called. He advised to have him taken to a hospital. The writer was then notified of his condition and at about 3:30 p.m. the writer took him to the North Bellingham hospital. The doctors did all they could for him, but in vain. On August 8, at 1:35 a.m., he passed to his reward at the age of 54 years, 9 months and 2 days. He leaves to mourn his early departure, his wife, 2 children, Leona Ruth and LeRoy James; 4 brothers, Henry and Ben of Enid, Oklahoma, Jake and Pete of Blaine, Washington; 2 sisters, Helena, Mrs. F. D. Koehn of Blaine, Washington, and Mrs. J. W. Jantz, Perryton, Texas, and two brothers-in-law, T. D. Koehn, Blaine, Washington, and Jake W. Jantz, Perryton, Texas. — F. D. Koehn.
