Andrew A. Koehn [Andreas A. Kehn], son of August and Susie (Jantz) Koehn, was born in Poland, Russia, March 20, 1868.
In 1874 he came to this country and settled in Marion Co., Kansas, with his parents.
As a young man he was baptized and joined the Methodist church, where he retained his membership until he died.
April 9, 1897, he was married to Elisabeth Koehn, with whom he shared joy and sorrow for almost 42 years.
A few years after their marriage the lived in Marion Co., Kansas, then they moved to Meno, Oklahoma, where he, with his family, has resided until he died.
He had already made arrangements to move to Pryor, Oklahoma, but, of course, this plan he could not carry out anymore.
On Thursday, March 3, 1939, he suddenly became ill at 7 p.m. and 10 minutes before 8 p.m. he passed on to the great beyond at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 19 days.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his dearly beloved wife, one daughter and five sons (one son died in infancy). Names of the children are: Clyde, Ringwood; Clarence, Cliford [sic Clifford], David and Victor, Meno; Clara, (Mrs. Frank Kane [Ferdinand Koehn]) Meno, and 8 grandchildren. One grandchild preceded him in death. Also two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law. Beside his immediate family he leaves one aged sister, Mrs. Lizzie Koehn, Galva, Kansas, and five brothers, Benjamin, Harrah, Okla.; Henry, Pryor, Okla.; Jacob and Isaac, Montezuma, Kansas; and Fred, Isabel, Okla.; and many other friends and relatives.
