text of obituary:

Mrs. Justine Kliewer

Justine Kliewer, nee Reimer, was born on Sept. 20, 1881, in Marion Co., Kansas. In June 1900, she was baptized on the confession of her faith by Rev. Peter Balzer and received as a member in the Alexanderwohl Mennonite church.

Her parents moved to Mt. View, Okla., in 1902, and when the Ebenezer church was organized there she also transferred her membership to this church. In this church she remained a faithful worker until the end. On August 17, 2905, she was married to P. G. Kliewer. This union was blessed with nine children, — four sons and five daughters, of whom two, Menno and Paul, preceded their mother into the Beyond.

Her health began to fail, and on August 23 she submitted to an operation in Oklahoma City for the removal of a tumor. However, her condition continually became more serious until September 7, when her life ebbed away into the heavenly Home.

She reached the age of 52 years, 11 months, and 13 days. Among near near relatives to mourn her death are her husband, Peter Kliewer; two sons, Elmer of Sioux City, Ia., Lion [sic Leon] at home; five daughters, Selma and Hilda in Newton; and Margaret, Helen and Viola at home; also four brothers and five sisters.

At the funeral services in the home Rev. Abr. Froese spoke, while in the church Rev. J. J. Kroeker and Rev. H. Hege were in charge.
