— A. Gering, 84 year old pioneer of Freeman, S. D., passed away at his home there last week. Funeral services were held in the North church in the East Freeman community, where some of Mr. Gering's children are buried. Leaving the farm 52 years ago, he became one of the town's leading business men dealing in general merchandise.
