&bull; Mrs. Eva Schmidt, 73, wife of Bernard H. Schmidt and a member of the First Mennonite Church, died Monday aftern0oon at Bethel Deaconess Hospital where she had been a patient for two days. Rev. Arnold Epp will officiate at funeral services Thursday afternoon at the First Church, and burial will be made in the Gnadenau Cemetery near Hillsboro. Surviving in addition to her husband are a son and daughter by a previous marriage, Alvin Warkentin of Newton and Mrs. Ben Hildebrandt of Hillsboro, six step-children, 21 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
