Mrs. harder died on Thursday afternoon at her home near Whitewater, following an illness of a month. She was 65 years of age and is survived by her husband and six of her eight children. These are the Rev. B. W. Harder, Gustav A., John, Henry, Willie and Mrs. Gus Reimer of Whitewater and E. M. Harder of this city.

Mr. and Mrs. Harder have lived on the big farm three miles east of Whitewater for many years, going there when they were married. She was born in Ge3rmany and came to this country when she was 11 years of age. She had won many friends in the community in which she lived the greater portion of her life-time. Besides the six children and her husband she leaved 43 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. John Harder, Sr.

— The funeral services for Mrs. John Harder, Sr., of Whitewater, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Emmaus church near Whitewater. there were many Newton friends and relatives in attendance.

Mrs. harder died on Thursday afternoon at her home near Whitewater, following an illness of a month. She was 65 years of age and is survived by her husband and six of her eight children.
