&#8212; Two well known pioneers were laid to their final resting place at Goessel last Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Henry Reimer, the widow of the late Rev. Henry Reimer, died Tuesday, June 25, at the Bethesda hospital in Goessel. She was 84 year sof age. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Bethesda Home for Aged, conducted by Rev. J. J. Ratzlaff, and also at three o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Goessel church, after which burial took place at the Alexanderwohl cemetery. Following this funeral, the rites for Jacob Goertz of Canton were held at the Alexanderwohl church, and burial also made in the church cemetery there. Rev. J. J. Banman of Newton conducted the service in the home, while Rev. P. H. Unruh and Rev. C. C. Wedel were in charge of the service in the church. Mr. Goertz exceeded Mrs. Reimer in age by five years, having reached his 89th year a few months ago. G. Bergen, Goessel undertaker, was kept quite busy taking care of both funerals in one afternoon.

LOCAL NEWS

— Two well known pioneers were laid to their final resting place at Goessel last Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Henry Reimer, the widow of the late Rev. Henry Reimer, died Tuesday, June 25, at the Bethesda hospital in Goessel. She was 84 year sof age. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Bethesda Home for Aged, conducted by Rev. J. J. Ratzlaff, and also at three o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Goessel church, after which burial took place at the Alexanderwohl cemetery.
