O. K. Galle, 81, died Sept. 28 at the Bethel Home for the Aged. The funeral was held at the Sister Frieda Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating, and a memorial service took place at the Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church, Wichita, where he was a charter member. Galle had lived at Valley Center most of his life as a mail carrier and school teacher. He was married to the former Sara Schmidt who preceded him in death. Survivors living in the area include three daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Vogt of Valley Center, Lorraine of Halstead and Lillian of Newton; and a sister, Mrs. Linda Woelk of Goessel.

O. K. GALLE

O. K. Galle, 81, formerly of Rt. 1, Valley Center, died this morning at the Bethel Home for the Aged.

He was born May 21, 1896 at Moundridge, the son of William and Anna Krehbiel Galle. He had lived at Valley Center most of his life and was a retired mail carrier and former school teacher. His wife, the former Sara Schmidt, preceded him in death.

He was a charter member of the Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church in Wichita. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War I.

Survivors include two sons, O. Karmie, Lawrence, and Omer, Liberty Hill, Tex.; five daughters, Mrs. Marianna R. Hall, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Kathryn Vogt, Valley Center, Miss Lorraine Galle, Halstead, Miss Lillian Galle, Newton, and Mrs. Darlene Wynn, Ogden, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Priscilla Nettleton, Lamar, Colo., Mrs. Clara Whaley, Great Bend, and Mrs. Linda Woelk, Goessel; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Galle services

Services for O. K. Galle, 81, formerly of rural Valley Center, who died Wednesday morning at the Bethel Home for the Aged, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday in Sister Frieda Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Griffin officiating. Private graveside and burial services will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. A memorial service will also be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the Lorraine Avenue Mennonite Church, Wichita, of which he was a charter member.

Calling time at Petersen Funeral Home will be through Friday. A memorial has been established for Bethel College.
