Marie (Knak) Epp, 99, a former resident of Newton, died April 4 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. Funeral services were held April 8 at Inman Mennonite Church. Jerry Kaiser and Allen Harder officiated. Burial was at Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery, Inman [sic]. A native of Hillsboro, she was an Inman resident since 1975, moving from Newton. She was a homemaker. Survivors include five sons, Melvin of Hutchinson, Leonard of Fort Worth, Texas, Wesley of Inman, Herbert of Garden City and Anton of Thornton, Colo.; four daughters, Lucille Ewert of Hutchinson, Margaret Schwartz of Ashland, Verna Hofer of Mitchell, S. D., and MaryAnn Kroeker of Filadelfia, Paraguay; three brothers, William Knak, Anton Knak and Pete Knak, all of Hillsboro; one sister, Mildred Jantz of Hillsboro; 28 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Henry W. died in 1947.

INMAN—Marie Epp, 99, formerly of Newton, died Saturday (April 4, 1992) at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

She was born Nov. 3, 1892, at Hillsboro, the daughter of Anton and Maria Nickel Knak. An Inman resident since 1975, moving from Newton, she was a homemaker. She married Henry W. Epp on Oct. 22, 1914, at Hillsboro, He died Feb. 18, 1947.

She was a member of the Inman Mennonite Church at Inman.

Survivors include five sons, Melvin, Hutchinson, Leonard, Fort Worth, Texas, Wesley, Inman, Herbert, Garden City, and Anton, Thornton, Colo.; four daughters, Lucille Ewert, Hutchinson, Margaret Schwartz, Ashland, Verna Hofer, Mitchell, S. D., and MaryAnn Kroeker, Filadelfia, Paraguay; three brothers, William Knak, Anton Knak and Pete Knak, all of Hillsboro; a sister, Mildred Jantz, Hillsboro; 28 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10:30 a. m. Wednesday at the Inman Mennonite Church, Inman, with Pastors Jerry Kaiser and Allen Harder officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Zion Mennonite Church Cemetery at Elbing.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p. m. Tuesday at Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson.
