MRS. ELIZABETH DYCK

Elizaheth Dyck of Wink'ier, Manitoba, went to b e wit h the Lord on April 27 lin her 70th year. She was ,born to Johaonn and Ma~ia Gurstk,ie on June 25, 1900, 'ion Russ'ia and was 'bro'ught up ,in the home of her foster parents, Gerhard 'and Anna "Thiessen. As a girl she accepted Ghrist as her Saviour and ,in 1924 she was baptized 'by Rev. Diedrich W iebe and received 'into the church. On January 17, 1920 she was jO'ined 'in marriage to Hein~ich J . Dyok ,in the vHlage of Alexanderthal Where they 'lived unt;i,1 1926. In that year they emigrated t o Canada, arriving ,in Winkler. They lived the .rest of their 'I'ives ,in Wink'ier. She and her husband were looking forward to their golden wedding anniversary when ,he passed awa,y suddenly ,in 1968. Three other sons predeceased her in their i nfancy. She ,is survived by ,three daughters, Mrs. Cornie (Anne) Kllassen 'and EI'izabeth of Wi'nk,ler 'and M~. Keith (Gloria) Cooney, B,ellevi'lIe, Ont.; four sons, Julius of Winkler, Jake and Henry of W innipeg, and Frank o,f Bashaw, Alta.; and 10 grandchi'idren and one great grandchi'ld. The funera,1 was held in the Winkler Mennonite Brethren oChu~h oon April 29 with Rev. J. M. Schmidt offioiating.
