(MRS.) LYDIA DIRKSON

Lydia Dirkson, 70, of Beechy, Sask., beloved wife of George Dirkson, passed away March 25 in the University Hos pital, Saskatoon. She had been in fail ing hea}th for some months. Mrs. Dirk son (nee Schiller) was born in Russia on March 20, 898. She was married to George Dirkson in 1919 and in 1923 they emigrated to Canada, settling first at Main Centre, Sask. After two years they moved to Beechy where they re sided until Mrs. Dirkson's death. Mrs. Dirkson accepted the Lord as her per sonal Saviour and was baptized upon her confession of faith in 1949. There upon she was received into the fellow ship of the BeeC'hy Mennonite Brethren Church. She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. John (Hanna) White man of Saslmtoon, Mrs. Ed (Ella) Holden of Beeohy, Lena of Saskatoon and Anne of Beechy; six sons, Bernard of Rush Lake, Sask., Jake of New Westminster, B.C., Arthur of Medicine Hat, Henry and David at Beechy and George at Moose Jaw. The funeral was in the Beechy Church on March 28 with Rev. E. J. Lautermilch ministering.
