— An accident on a slippery highway north of St. John, Kan. Tuesday morning resulted in fatal injuries for Ellen Glenn Harder, 47, of Newton. Mr. Harder and Dolphes Loud, both employees of the Rhoades Construction Co. here, were en route to a sewer project at Rozel when the car driven by Mr. Loud skidded at the approach to a stop sign and crashed into the side of a truck. Loud suffered a fractured right leg. Funeral services for Mr. Harder will be held Friday afternoon in the First Mennonite church, of which he was a member. Survivng are his widow, the former Bernice Friesen, and two sons, Larry and Gary of the home.

— Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the First Mennonite church for Ellen G. Harder, 47, who was fatally injured in a car-truck collision near St. John, Kan. on March 8, while en route to a project of a local construction firm. Mr. Harder was a native of Corn, Okla. He is survived by his wife and two sons of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Harder of Corn; one brother and two sisters.
