● John S. Harder, 91, of rural Whitewater, died Feb. 16 at Wheat State Manor. A retired farmer, he was a member of Emmaus Mennonite Church, rural whitewater. Survivors include son Edgar of Whitewater, daughters Linda Harder of whitewater and Elfrieda Hard of Salina; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His wife, Emilie, died in 1992. the funeral was held Feb. 19 at Emmaus Mennonite Church.
