MRS. JACOB A. UNRUH

Mary Klassen Unruh, was born Sept. 17, 1860, in the province of Michaleen, Russia. When the Mennonite migration from Russia took lace in 1874, she accompanied her parents to America, settling near Whitewater, Kansas. Here she, with her parents, brother and sisters, endured the privations of pioneer life.

— Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob A. Unruh, 85, took place at the Johannestal church near Hillsboro last Friday with Rev. J. M. Regier, the pastor, in charge. Mrs. Unruh, mother of Mrs. W. S. Goertzen of Newton, died at Hillsboro on August 20. she was born September 17, 1860, in the province of Michaleen, Russia, coming to this country in 1874. Two sons and two daughters survive.
