Rupp. — On August 13 in Upland, Calif. Johannes J. Rupp. He was born October 1, 1841 at Maxweiler, Bavaria, Germany. In 1854 he moved with his parents to America, to Lee Co., Iowa, January 19, 1869, he married Maria Hach, who with 7 children mourns his death. In 1876 the family moved to Moundridge, Kansas. Four years ago father and mother Rupp moved to Upland, Calif., Funeral services were held in the Mennonite church, conducted by Bro. M. Horsch in German and English, the text being 1. Cor. 15, 55-57.
