text of obituary:

Mrs. D. B. Neufeldt

Mrs. D. B. Neufeldt, nee Sara H. Balzer, the daughter of Jacob and Gertrude Balzer, was born Feb. 26, 1887, at the home of her parents near Inman, Kansas.

She was baptized on August 8, 1904, upon her confession of faith by Elder Bernhard Buhler and became a member of the Hebron church.

On august 9, 1905, she was married to Dietrich B. Neufeldt and they made their home on a farm six miles east of Inman. There they spent the 33 years of their married life.

To this union was born two children: Hilda Gertrude, now Mrs. Louis A. Janzen of Elbing, Kansas, and Marvin Jacob of the home.

Mrs. Neufeldt has suffered much during the past 28 years, yet in spite of her own suffering she enjoyed visiting the sick and needy as much as her strength permitted and always had words of encouragement for them. She also found great delight in caring for flowers.

Her strength had been failing during the last few weeks and on May 26 she became seriously ill and passed from this life into her eternal home Friday evening, May 27, 1938, at four o'clock, having reached the age of 51 years two months and 29 days.

The deceased leaves to mourn her departure: her bereaved husband, her mother, two brothers, one sister, a son, a daughter, and two grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hebron Mennonite church by Rev. T. Alvin van der Smissen the local pastor and Rev. H. J. Dyck of the Zion Mennonite church of Elbing. Special music was furnished by a mixed quartet of the local church.
