Mrs. Jack C. Putnam

Helen Louise Putnam, 63, of 531 SE 10th, a retired accountant for Haury, Boston and Steely, died Saturday (Aug. 2, 1986) at Axtell Christian Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday at Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. LeRoy Bott officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Newton, the daughter of Louis E. and Bessie V. Unruh Long. On Aug. 29, 1942, she married Jack C. Putnam in Newton. He survives.

She was a member of the church, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Credit Women International.

Other survivors include one son, James C., of Hutchinson; two daughters, Janine Arnold and Joyce L. Hockett, both of Newton; her stepmother, Mrs. Thelma Boller, of Newton; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call until 9 p. m. today and all day Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Salem United Methodist Church.
