Text of obituary:

Edgar Krehbiel

Edgar Krehbiel of Denver, Colorado, eldest son of the late J. J. Krehbiel and Mrs. J. J. Krehbiel of this city, passed away in Denver Saturday at the age of 65 years as the result of a heart attack. He had been confined to his bed because of a fractured hip.

His two sisters, Mrs. H. E. Suderman and Mrs. R. S. Haury left at once for Denver to be with his family which includes three sons, Alden, Ray and John and one daughter, Edyth, Mrs. Krehbiel (nee Emma Tangeman) of this city, having passed away in June, 1931.

Mr. Krehbiel was born in Denmark, Iowa, November 19, 1868 and came to Newton with the family in 1879. He was educated in the Newton schools being graduated in the class of 1888 of which his brother William J. Krehbiel, now of McPherson was a member. He was associated with his father in business here and it was here that he and Mrs. Krehbiel were married and established their home. About fifteen years ago he and his family moved to Denver to make their home where he was very successful in his chosen business but exceedingly lonely after the death of his wife.

Two years ago he visited in Newton with his sisters and their families and saw others of his old time friends here.

Besides Mrs. Suderman and Mrs. Haury, he is survived by four brothers, William J. of McPherson, Albert and Fred of Chicago, I. Krehbiel of Calexico, California and their families.

The funeral arrangements were not known by the relatives here today.
