Veronika Stucky, nee Voran, was born at Eduardsdorf in Russia on the 24 of January 1842. On May 4, 1856 she was baptized and united in holy wedlock to John Stucky December 25, 1859, with whom she shared the joys and sorrows of life for 57 years. On July 24, 1917, her husband passed away and from that time she made her home with her s\children. thirteen children came into their home, six of which preceded the mother in death.
When the Russian Mennonites immigrated into this country in 1874 the deceased with her family was among the immigrants. They settled
