Logan J. Ayers

Funeral arrangements were pending today for Logan J. Ayers, 76, retired Harvey County highway department employee, who was found dead of a gunshot would in Wichita Sunday.

Arrangements will be announced by Moody's Funeral Home.

Bodes of Mr. Ayers and his wife, Flossie, 72, were found in the home. The Sedgwick County coroner's office ruled the deaths suicide and murder. Investigators said Mr. Ayers apparently had shot his wife and then himself.

He was born June 28, 1884 at Whitewater and had moved to Wichita from Newton three years ago. His parents were Charles and E. Alice Ayers.

Mr. Ayers is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Blaylock of Gilchrist, Tex.; one son, William, of Newton; two brothers, O. B. of Tampa, Fla., and Frank of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Huffman of Halstead and Mrs. Pearl Rapp of Danvers, Ill.
