● Funeral services for Isaac Schmidt, 56, were held Sept. 21 at the First Mennonite Church of Hillsboro, with Rev. Elbert Koontz officiating. Mr. Schmidt suffered a fatal heart attack Sept. 18 while a patient at the Salem Hospital. He leaves his widow, katie, four children and three grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Nick Fehdrau of Newton.
