+ | Montezuma, Kans., March 23. — Le Verne [Lavern] Johnson, 19 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard [Leonahrd] Johnson was instantly killed this morning at 5:00 o'clock near Liberal, Kansas, where he was driving a truck. He was hauling sand for abridge construction company. The truck hit the ditch, throwing Le Verne [Lavern] out of the cab and the load of sand landing on top of him, which caused his death. it is indeed a shock to the family and community. — David J.
