In 1926 Dirksen married Martha Schroeder, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert, of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters: Julie (Mrs. Robert) Flynn of Wichita and Dorothy (Mrs. Marvin J.) Banman of rural Canton; three brothers: Roland of rural Moundridge, P. K. of Page, Ariz. and Menno of Goessel; two sisters: Elizabeth Schroeder of North Newton and Anna Schroeder of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
