● Theodore Dirksen, lifetime resident of the Goessel-Moundridge area, died May 21 in Goessel at the age of 79. Services were conducted by Darrell Ediger at the Goessel Mennonite church May 23. In 1926 Dirksen married Martha Schroeder, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert, of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters: Julie (Mrs. Robert) Flynn of Wichita and Dorothy (Mrs. Marvin J.) Banman of rural Canton; three brothers: Roland of rural Moundridge, P. K. of Page, Ariz. and Menno of Goessel; two sisters: Elizabeth Schroeder of North Newton and Anna Schroeder of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
