PHOENIX — Peter H. Friesen, 90, retired decorator, died Saturday (Jan. 30, 1993) at Glencroft Care Center in Phoenix. He lived in Hesston and Walton for several years. He operated Pete's Fix-It Shop while in Walton.
He was born Aug. 25, 1902, in Mountain Lake, Minn., to Peter A. and Helena Hiebert Friesen.
On May 14, 1927, he married Myrtle Erb in Hesston. She died in 1988.
He was a member of Trinity Mennonite Church in Glendale, Ariz.
Survivors include a son, Donald of Montrose, Calif.; three daughters, Rosa Kempton of Tempe, Ariz., Catherine Yoder of Westminister, Calif., and Betty Magyar of Denver; four brothers, William of Corona, Calif., John of Goshen, Ind., Edward of Longmont, Colo., and Paul of Hesston; a sister, Grace Slatter of Arco, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert.
Burial will be at 10 a. m. Saturday in Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs, Colo. A memorial service will be at 11 a. m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church in Colorado Springs with the Rev. Willard Conrad officating.
Memorials may be sent to Union Theological Seminary in Puna, India, in care of Trinity Mennonite Church, 4334 W. Vista Ave., Glendale, Ariz. 85301.

Peter H. Friesen
