Born in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich Hirschler on Feb. 9, 1856 [''sic'' 1859], he came to this country in early manhood. On May 18, 1884, he was married to Elizabeth Ewy, and the family resided in the Moundridge community for a number of years.

Rev. Hirschler is survived by his children P. U. Hirschler, Emporia; Mrs. Voth, Newton; Mrs. J. C. Dester, Hesston; M. J.Hirschler, Hanston; Mrs. J. R. Ewy, Hanston; Mrs. A. J. Brubacher, Moundridge; E. E. Hirschler, Hays; and J. H. Hirschler of Moundridge.

Rev. C. E. Hirschler, Retired Minister, Is Called By Death.

Rev. C. E. Hirschler, well known retired minister of the Halstead and Moundridge communities, died at the Bethel Hospital in Newton last Sunday afternoon.

Born in Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich Hirschler on Feb. 9, 1856 [sic 1859], he came to this country in early manhood. On May 18, 1884, he was married to Elizabeth Ewy, and the family resided in the Moundridge community for a number of years.
