— Mr. Jacob Suderman, formerly of Newton, but who had been in California for some time on account of his health, passed away last Wednesday. His body was brot [sic] to Newton for interment, which took place on Monday afternoon. Services were held at the First Mennonite church, Rev. J. E. Entz speaking in German, and Rev. J. E. Suderman, in English. Quite a large number of people were in attendance, as Mr. Suderman was very well known here.
