MRS. PETER MUELLER

Anna Schowalter Mueller, daughter of John J. and Magdelina Funk Schowalter, was born April 9, 1888, at Daubling, Germany.

At the age of 11 years she moved with her parents to America, arriving at Wisner, Neb. on July 4, 1899. At the age of 13 she was baptized upon confession of faith by Rev. Chris Kaufman in the Wisner, Neb. Mennonite Church.

On Dec.16, 1908, she was united in marriage with Peter Mueller of Halstead, Kansas, with whom she shared the joys and sorrows of married life for 48 years. To this union were born seven children — four sons and three daughters.

For the past 20 years she had been a faithful member of the Immanuel Mennonite Church of Los Angeles and Downey, Calif.

Anna Schowalter Mueller has lived a consecrated Christian life. She has been active in many phases of church and mission work.

After a short illness she went to be with her Lord at the age of 68 years, three months and five days.

She leaves to mourn her early departure her beloved husband; her children, Alfred of Halstead, Kansas, Linda of North Newton, Kansas, Olga of South Gate, Calif., Herbert of Lynwood, Calif., Matilda of Jagdeeshpur, India, Edgar of Downey, Calif. and Harold of Bell, Calif.; also 13 grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers.
