Funeral services for Louis A. Janzen, 84, of North Newton, were held April 18 at Zion Mennonite Church of Elbing, with Craig Morton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. He died April 15 at Kidron Bethel Retirement Center, North Newton. He was a farmer and stockman at rural Elbing. He served 16 years as a member of the Bethel College board of directors and was a charter member and longtime participant of the M-2 Prison Ministries Program at Hutchinson. Survivors include his wife, Hilda (Neufeldt); three sons, John and Mark, both of rural Newton, and David of Evanston, Ill.; and one daughter, Sara Regier of North Newton; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. | . . . | ||

He was born April 18, 1907, at Newton, the son of Herman and Agathe Janzen. He married Hilda Neufeldt in 1933 in Inman. She survives. He was a farmer and stockman near Elbing. | |||
