HEINRICH BOLDT

Heinrich Boldt of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Oct. 3. He was born Jan. 17, 1898 to Heinrich and Elizabeth Boldt in Alexanderfeld, southern Russia. His mother was strong in faith and had a positive influence on him. The Machnovites murdered 201 people in their village, Sagradowka, Nov. 19, 1919. This spoke to him so that he gave his life the Lord. He was baptized in spring, 1920. He married Margareta Apr. 18, 1920. They immigrated to Canada with 3 children in 1926. They moved 7 times in less than 7 years, working on farms and doing any other work that was available. They settled in North Kildonan, joining North Kildonan MB Church. After 20 years, they moved to Yarrow, B.C., joining Yarrow MB Church and experiencing more blessing. After 21 more years, they moved to Clearbrook, joining Clearbrook MB Church. During this period they were most blessed. They moved to Tabor Home. After 71 years of marriage, Margareta died, and he too longed to go home. He is mourned by his sons Nick, Henry, Peter and Jacob; daughters Elizabeth Gerard and Ann Newfield; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother. The funeral was Oct. 7, with Jacob Pauls ministering.
