They moved 7 times in less than 7 years, working on farms and doing any other work that was available. They settled in North Kildonan, joining North Kildonan MB Church. After 20 years, they moved to Yarrow, B.C., joining Yarrow MB Church and experiencing more blessing. After 21 more years, they moved to Clearbrook, joining Clearbrook MB Church. During this period they were most blessed. They moved to Tabor Home. After 71 years of marriage, Margareta died, and he too longed to go home. He is mourned by his sons Nick, Henry, Peter and Jacob; daughters Elizabeth Gerard and Ann Newfield; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother.
