MRS. AMELIA PEACHEY OF BELLEVILLE, PA. DIES AT AGE 99
Belleville, Pa. — Mrs. Amelia Peachey, oldest resident of the large Amish and Mennonite community here, died Sept. 27 at the age of 99 years, two months and 27 days. The immediate cause of death was a hip fracture which she suffered six days earlier.
The widow of Jonas Z. Peachey, who died 36 years ago, Grandmother Peachey had the unusual experience of living to see the number of her direct descendants increase to more than 400.
