Lydia Dirkson, 70, of Beechy, Sask., | Lydia Dirkson, 70, of Beechy, Sask., beloved wife of George Dirkson, passed away March 25 in the University Hospital, Saskatoon. She had been in failing health for some months. Mrs. Dirkson (nee Schiller) was born in Russia on March 20, 1898. She was married to George Dirkson in 1919 and in 1923 they emigrated to Canada, settling first at Main Centre, Sask. After two years they moved to Beechy where they resided until Mrs. Dirkson's death. Mrs. Dirkson accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and was baptized upon her confession of faith in 1949. Thereupon she was received into the fellowship of the Beechy Mennonite Brethren Church. | ||
