+ | — One of the old pioneers at Berne, Ind., Emmanuel [''sic'' Emanuel] J. Liechty 87 years of age, died there on the afternoon of December 10. Mr. Liechty is known in his community as one of the men who built the first store in Berne, as operator of a cheese factory in the early days, and as carpenter and farmer. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church on Sunday afternoon, December 13. |
