JACOB SWEIACHER [sic ZWEIACHER]

Jacob Zeiacher was born Dec. 3, 1881, at Berne, Switzerland, the son of Benedict and Marie Elizabeth (Geisbuhler) Zweiacher. He came to the United States in 1900, settling at Okarche, Okla. His mother died in Switzerland, and his father died at Okarche and is buried in the Mennonville [sic Mennoville] Mennonite Church cemetery.

He was married Aug. 12, 1905 to Etta Schmidt at the Mennonville [sic Mennoville] Church by Rev. Sprunger, who was the pastor at that time. He and his wife became members of this church on June 6, 1906.

A retired Okarche farmer, he died Jan. 16 at a rest home in El Reno, Okla. where he had been a patient for 16 months. His wife is also a resident of the rest home and is in poor health.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda Nice of Edmond, Okla. and Mrs. Bertha Smith of Comanche, Okla.; five sons, Edward of Shawnee, Okla., Enno, Fred, John and Raymond, all of El Reno; a sister, Mrs. Marie Gerard of McAlester, Okla.; two brothers, Adolph of Devoe, Okla. and John of Geary, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at the Church of the Nazarene in El Reno with Rev. Henry hege of the Geary Mennonite Church officiating. Burial was made in the Mennonville [sic Mennoville] cemetery north of El Reno.
