Funeral services for Fred Zuercher, one of the older settlers of the Whitewater community, were held at the Swiss Mennonite church there last Friday afternoon. Mr. Zuercher passed away at the Bethel Hospital in Newton last week after a two week's illness from pneumonia. Four sisters and six brothers survive.
