Auto Accident Takes Life of Belleville, Pa., Resident on March 16.

Belleville, Pa., March 18. — Belleville citizens were simply stunned on Tuesday morning as the news spread from one to another that Tom Zook was dead. Some knew of his auto accident the previous evening, but very few knew before Tuesday morning that death had claimed him. The accident occurred at the burhard railroad crossing about 4:30 Monday evening when the car in which Mr. Zook was riding ran into the K. V. engine which resulted in both occupants being hurt, and Mr. Zook fatally. The injured men were removed to the Lewistown hospital where Tom "crossed the bar" at about 10 p. m. or less than six hours after the accident. Soon after reaching the hospital, he regained consciousness and talked to his wife, and remained conscious until the end came.

In the passing of Thomas E. Zook Belleville and vicinity have lost probably their best known citizen.
