Pennsylvania Couple Die On Same Day
Ephrata, Pa. — Double funeral services were held at the Weaverland Mennonite church near East Earl on Aug. 23 for Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Zimmerman, residents of the Oreville Mennonite Home, Lancaster.
The husband and wife both died on Aug. 19 at the Home. Mr. Zimmerman, 81, passed away about 4:45 p.m., and his wife Lydia followed him in death shortly before midnight.
The couple resided in the New Holland community before entering the Home in 1957. Mrs. Zimmerman was a Sunday school teacher for 42 years. They leave a foster daughter. Mrs. Albert (Lydia) Shirk of East Earl.
