JAMES ELVIN ZIMMERMAN

James Elvin, son of Elmer and Erma (Troyer) Zimmerman, was born May 29, 1923, at Protection, Kansas; passed away Jan. 27, 1956, at the home of his sister, Elsie, in Goshen, Ind. where he was spending the winter, aged 32years, seven months and 28 days.

He had enjoyed his usual health and normal life. His last evening was spent writing a long letter home before retiring. He passed away of a heart attack in his sleep. At the age of 13 he joined the Protection Mennonite Church of which he was a faithful member and worker until the Lord called him home. His thoughtfulness and willingness to help others will always be remembered by all who knew him as Bud.

Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers and five sisters, Mrs. Donald (Elsie) Gunden of Goshen, Ind., Mrs. Charles (Lois) Lauffer of protection, Wayne of Los Angles, Calif., Mrs. Rodger (Norma) Conrad of Rock Falls, Ill., Ruby of Goshen, Ind., Alfred, Myron and Joann, at home; three nieces and two nephews, and many other friends and relatives.

Services were held in the Protection Mennonite Church Jan.30, 1956, with interment in the church cemetary [sic].
