— Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at the Hesston Mennonite Church for Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, 86, who died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Irl Cooprider, in Hesston. The services were in charge of Rev. Edwin I. Weaverand Rev. Milo Kauffmann. A native of the Nappanee, Ind. community, Mrs. Zimmerman had lived at [text missing in original] band, Phillip G. Zimmerman, died in 1938. Surviving are three sons, Floyd of Jet, Okla., Orie of Wichita and Chris of Iola; three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Cooprider of Hesston, Mrs. Eva Yoder of Harper and Mrs. Carrie Cooprider of Hesston; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

MRS. ANNA ZIMMERMAN

Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, 86, died Monday morning, Oct. 13, at the Irl Cooprider home in Hesston, Kan. She had resided in the Hesston community for 20 years.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born Dec. 15, 1871, in Nappanee, Indiana, the daughter of Noah E. and Lizzie Troyer. She was married Dec. 2, 1892, at Inman to Phillip G. Zimmerman, whose death occurred March 4, 1938.

In March of 1894, she with her husband and family moved to Jet, Okla. where they were among the first pioneer settlers of the Jet community. After the death of her husband she moved to Hesston where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Irl Cooprider and family.

Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Hesston Mennonite Church.

She was a mother who knew the Lord, loved His Word, and read her Bible daily. Mother willingly accepted her illness, but often expressed a desire “to go Home.”

Surviving are three sons, Floyd of Jet, Okla., Orie of Wichita, and Chris of Iola; three daughters, Mrs. Irl (Lizzie) Cooprider and Mrs. Ross (Carrie) Cooprider of Hesston, and Mrs. Dan (Eva) Yoder of Harper; three sisters, Mrs. M. F. Boyts, Crystal Springs, Kansas, Mrs. Mamie Comins of Mio, Mich., and Mrs. Harry Griffin of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Dave Troyer of Attica, S. N. Troyer of Goshen, Ind., and N. F. Troyer of Grand Carbon, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Hesston Mennonite church. Edwin Weaver and Milo Kauffman officiated. Burial was made in the Crystal Springs Cemetery, Harper.
